Abbey View is a self contained self catering, two storey town house right in the centre of the historic border town of Kelso. The house is unique in Kelso because it is the only house to enjoy superb views of both the cobbled market square and the historic ruin of Kelso Abbey. The first floor has a very generous kitchen Diner fully equipped with all modern appliances. Washing machine dishwasher microwave toaster double oven. Tea coffee and condiments all provided. A large comfortable lounge overlooking the cobbled square. Two sofas and armchair. A good size flat screen TV, selection of books, board games and jigsaws We have two large double bedrooms. The master bedroom has a good size comfy double bed and en-suite with shower. Flat screen TV and two large double built in wardrobes. We call the other bedroom the Family room as it has a lovely comfortable double bed and a single bed suitable for children or an adult. Also a large double wardrobe and flat screen TV and free WI FI all over the apartment. The family room is served by its own bathroom with the option of a bath or shower. All towels and bed linen are provided plus bath and shower gels

This is our fourth season at Abbey View and we would very much like to take the opportunity to thank all our lovely guests who have stayed with us. Some of them on their third and even fourth return visit. The lovely comments, especially in our Guest Book and generous reviews we have received. make it all worth while and are very much appreciated. And because of this success we have recently acquired another apartment in Kelso just around the corner from Abbey View not on the square but only 100 yards from it in a side street 1 HAVANNAH COURT very similar in that it is also two storey, two bedroom apartment. We are hoping 1 HAVANNAH COURT will be equally as successful as a self contained holiday let as Abbey View.

Luckily in Kelso you are spoilt for choice with many good restaurants pubs and bars, literally 2 minutes walking distance from the front door. Kelso runs alongside the river Tweed and is extremely popular with salmon and trout fisherman. Winter time the surrounding area has many good shoots, fantastic walking in the Cheviot Hills all year round. The Pennine Way finishes just seven miles up the road. Kelso also boasts a fantastic racecourse for horses, always very popular. Springwood Showground quarter of a mile from Kelso centre, holds a whole variety of shows and activities almost every week. Floors Castle is just a short walk, through their fantastic grounds and gardens. An extremely popular Golf course half a mile distance, next door to the ice rink. Which holds family skating on a Sunday. There are many independent shops for the discerning shopper and a very handy supermarket within the square.
