Dyke Lane House was built as the village bakery in the mid 17th century, extended by the Victorians then refurbished by us in 2015, adding new bathrooms and bringing it into the 21st century, while maintaining the original cottage feel.

Sue and Mike are teachers who are also keen cyclists and walkers who can advise you on local routes. We have two dogs and a beautiful garden that will provide you with fresh fruit in season.

Poynings is a lovely quiet village on the outskirts of Brighton. We are surrounded by glorious views of the South Downs with limited through traffic, birdsong and starlight. The Royal Oak, a friendly, buzzing local pub, is just down the road.
