Company info

Karen's parents converted the cottages almost 20 years ago and Karen has been running the cottages for the last 15 years since they were completed. Although Karen doesn't live on site she is frequently around the farm and cottages overseeing and working on them. Karen takes great pride in the cottages and this is reflected in the comments in the visitor books and google reviews.

Property info

Situated on an organic farm in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Bakers Mill Holiday Cottages are set in a courtyard in the middle of the farm. There are 6 cottages altogether sleeping 21 in all along with a games room with table tennis, pool and darts board. The cottages are converted farm buildings dating from the 17th century with a grade 2 listed barn as the centrepiece. They retain original features and are sympathetically restored with high ceilings and exposed beams, although modern technology has been added with solar panels and an EV charger for the convenience of our guests. Pets are welcome at our cottages, which have small enclosed gardens or courtyards for peace of mind. A large grassed area is available for exercising your pets. There is a small rill running along the front of the cottages adding to the beauty and peaceful atmosphere, where you can sit out and listen to the sound of the birds and the rill as it tumbles along.

Neighborhood info

Bakers Mill Holiday Cottages sits just outside the village of Mosterton, down a quiet country lane. The village has a village spar shop and a popular local pub serving good food. Mosterton is about 20 minutes from Dorchester and about the same from Bridport and the nearest coast - the Jurassic Coast. There are numerous attractions, stately homes, gardens, national trust monuments and plenty of walks in the area. Fishing, golf, cycling, horse riding all available and water sports and sight seeing from West Bay.
