We love to walk right out the front door of Beach Lodge and head in any direction...the cliff tops and beach are only 2 minutes walk away from there we can choose to head east towards Hengistbury Head, Mudeford Quay and Christchurch or west towards Boscombe, Bournemouth and Poole. We also like to spend time in Southbourne Grove at ony one of the fine fine local establishments for drinks and food. One thing is for sure we love living in Southbourne!

Welcome you to Beach Lodge, a family run B&B which offers quality en-suite bed and breakfast accommodation together with high standards of service. Beach Lodge is located in a quiet tree lined avenue only a few minutes walk from Southbourne’s Blue Flag beach and promenade which can be accessed via a zigzag path or cliff lift. Southbourne Grove which is also only a few minutes walk away provides a selection of well known and independent shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants. Beach Lodge is an Edwardian House built around 1910, which we have renovated with a lot of care and attention to modern standards whilst retaining the original period features you would expect, such as the ‘Minton’ floor tiled hallway leading to the main staircase, which takes you to the guest bedrooms on the first and second floors. The Lodge has eight comfortable guest bedrooms all en-suite, is non-smoking throughout and we have off-road parking for 4/5 cars with unrestricted street parking in Grand Avenue.

Southbourne has every thing (in our opinion), a fantastic sandy beach, lovely places to walk to with spectacular views of Poole bay, the Purbacks and the Isle of Wight, theres loads of restaurants, cafes and some of the best pubs and ale houses in the area. We are also ideally located for Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole, Boscombe, The New Forest and The Purbecks which are all within easy reach by either car or public transport. Pokesdown train station is less than 15 minutes walk away (0.6 miles) and very regular bus routes only 5 minutes walk away on Southbourne Grove.
