The location was incredible, just over the hill from a glorious view of Semer Water! It is very rural, but this adds to the experience and it is only a short drive to Hawes. The property is very cosy, with quaint rooms and cleverly used spaces....

Beebole Cottage is a charming 17th century building located opposite Countersett Hall holiday let which can accommodate two adults. Although small, the cottage is cosy and charming. There is a king-size bed with pocket sprung mattress, living/dining room, towels and linens included, newly fitted kitchen with breakfast bar and shower room with good thermostatic shower. Log burner. We can accommodate up to 7 guests, when Countersett Hall, opposite, is also booked with the cottage (sleeps 5) - see our other listing. Oven, grill, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine. Central heating, private garden. Two free parking spaces. Free wifi, Amazon video, Netflix availableto use with your own account, bluetooth speaker, games, books, basket of logs, kindling & firelighters, milk, tea, coffee and sugar sachets, bottle of wine, biscuits, toiletries included. Secure bike storage. 10 mins walk from Lake Semerwater. Hawes 5 miles & Askrigg 3 miles, Bainbridge 2 miles. Please note: guest fees added here after you click 'reserve'. Search Countersett Hall for further info and additional availability. We pay 15% commission to Booking on this site. You are welcome to bring a baby - there is room for a travel cot if you push the sofa up to the fireplace, but generally we advise that no more than two people stay due to the cottage being quite small. Please note: the sofa is not large or comfortable enough to sleep on, no more than 2 adults please. Please note; low height doorway (padded) by kitchen hallway. Gentle gravel sloped path from layby car parking area to cottage and some shallow steps from cottage to patio and garden with hand rail. Alternative car park with steps and hand rail down to cottage also available. Two small steps within cottage. Not suitable for people with very limited mobility. No parking immediately outside of cottage, it is a few metres uphill via gravel slope or two sets of steps to a gated car park, if preferred.
The Cottage has been recently renovated and offers a cosy and characterful base from which to explore the stunning local scenery. There is a bedroom with king size bed and very comfortable pocket sprung mattress, living room with log burner stove & dining area, a well equipped kitchen with breakfast bar & double oven, dishwasher & washing machine & shower room with powerful thermostatic shower. Beautiful walks from the door. Emergency use landline phone, number provided in advance so that you can receive incoming calls. We do have mobile and 4G reception and the cottage has WIFI. No caravans/motorhomes please due to restricted access in car park. Hawes 5 miles & Askrigg 3miles. There are numerous walks and castles, stately homes, waterfalls etc within easy reach of the house. There's fishing, water sports, swimming and paddle boarding at Semerwater nearby (5 minutes walk) - lessons with hired equipment can be booked through Alfresco Adventures or SUP Active Yorkshire. Alpaca trekking available at Semerwater. The house is situated in a very peaceful and private location, but only 5 minutes' drive from Bainbridge, or 10 minutes' from Askrigg and Hawes. Wensleydale is considered to be one of the most beautiful parts of the Dales by many. The cottage is encircled by richly planted gardens, teeming with wildlife. The night skies are a sight to behold in this area of minimal light pollution. There is an excellent 5* restaurant at Yorebridge House Hotel, 5 minutes drive from the house and cosy pubs at Bainbridge, Askrigg & Hawes serving hearty meals. Asda, Sainsburys and Tesco all offer grocery delivery to the cottage. Excellent food shops in Hawes. Nearest supermarkets in Catterick. Lots of local information and walking books provided at the cottage.
