The Perfect Family Getaway Birkenside Cottage is a peaceful haven, located at the end of a track, in the midst of a forestry reserve, in the heart of the Scottish Borders. With two comfortable bedrooms, a modern kitchen, stylish living room with wood burning stove, the cottage offers off grid living with luxury trappings. The garden is generous, bordering a forestry reserve on three sides, & fields on the other. There are no neighbours, no one overlooking, no noise to mar your peace.

I'm a busy mum of two and my life is currently entirely centred around family life. In my spare time I practice yoga, sing in a choir and love spending time outdoors. Originally from Edinburgh, I spent 16 years in London, working mainly in events and marketing, before the birth of our first child at which point we decided to return home to our beautiful city. We live in Edinburgh, but I will always try to be at the cottage when you arrive. After I've welcomed you and answered any questions you may have I'll leave you to it and you can enjoy the peace. I'm always on call should you need me and our housekeeper, Anne, lives close by should you need assistance.
