On the Brighton and Hove seafront, The Gather Inn is a fun place to eat, drink and stay. The property is located just 2 miles from Brighton city center and overlooks Hove lagoon. The Gather Inn benefits from limited free on-street parking in surrounding roads. There are 20 rooms, 16 of which are en-suite. All rooms have a plasma TV with Freeview channels and tea/coffee making facilities. We do not offer breakfast/brunch anymore, but there is two cafes just across the road from us. The Gather Inn also has Seaview bar is a great place to relax and meet friends, we have a pool table, Plasma TVs and a range of board games. At the Gather Inn you will find locally sourced, homemade food with many options on the menu. The bars offer a selection of wines, cocktails, real ales, craft beers, lagers and ciders. Guests benefit from various special offers and discounts. Brighton Train Station is a 12-minute drive from The Gather Inn. Brighton Pier can be reached in 30 minutes by public transport.

We are a small family run business that have been trading since 2004. Hospitality has really taken a hit over the last few years and we are so grateful and proud to still be doing a job that we love. Having lived in Brighton our whole lives, we know the area pretty well and will always help with recommendations on local amenities so please feel free to ask any questions, our staff are always more than happy to help.

We no longer offer breakfast/brunch but there are two cafes just across the road from us. The Gather Inn also has 2 bars. The Sea View Bar with restaurant is located on the top level, offering views over the lagoon and seafront. On the lower level you will find the Patio Bar, which is open in warmer weather. At the Gather Inn you will find locally sourced, homemade food with many options on the menu. The bars offer a selection of wines, cocktails, real ales, craft beers, lagers and ciders. Guests benefit from various special offers and discounts. Brighton Train Station is a 12-minute drive from The Gather Inn. The nearest station is Portslade (5 minute drive). Brighton Pier can be reached in 30 minutes by public transport. The Gather Inn benefits from limited free on-street parking in surrounding roads.

Neighborhood info

The Gather Inn is situated in Hove and is a stones throw away from Hove's promenade and seafront. A great spot if you want to visit Brighton but not be right in the hustle and bustle of the busy town centre. Hove Lagoon is on our doorstep with a water area for water sports and windsurfing and a large children's playground with a sandpit and outdoor paddling pool, (open in the warmer months).

To secure your reservation, we require a copy of the debit or credit card used for the booking to be held on our booking system.

Parking instructions: Park directly outside the property before the parking meters, or behind the building, where parking is free for up to 4 hours. Parking is also free between 18:00 and 08:00. The roads opposite the property are free to park on between 12:00 and 18:00.

Reception is open for check-in until 10:00 PM. After this time, self check-in can be arranged; however, you must contact us before 10:00 PM to make these arrangements.

Any items left in the room after departure will be retained for 7 days. If they are not collected within this period, they will be disposed of.

Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.
