Company info

Rob & Claire purchased the Farm & small holding in 2008 and following the design and planning stages, self built the Bunkhouse in 2013 followed by the Bothy 1,2 & 3 a few years later and now have 2 Brand new Cabins that are best suited for Couples & Families. That opened this spring (2023). The properties are very versatile and suit all type of events, There are cycling groups walking groups, Birthday parties, and family gatherings in the Holidays it is mainly families but also busy with students in June. We even have the odd hen party! The main attractions are Nearby Kielder Water and Forrest Park and Kielder Observatory, Cycling is popular as The Lake has a 27 mile track around it, This doubles as a sculpture trail. Clearly the other attractions are well known, such as Alnwick Castle & Gardens, Hadrian's Wall, Coastal Villages of Seahouses Bamburgh Amble and Craster to name a few. There are a whole host of things to see and do around here, but part of the fun is to discover some for yourselves!. We are on hand to give guidance, on places to visit and eat as we live next-door with our Children just up the Lane.

Property info

Our Brand NEW for 2023 self builds are fitted with Biomass pellet stoves which heat the space and hot water. They are toasty warm all year round. They have stunning views down the North Tyne valley with views extending toward Kielder Forest and the Scottish Border.

Neighborhood info

Tarset Tor is an ideal base for exploring Nothumberland it central location being equidistant between the Aln & Esk estuaries, so whilst stood at the 'TOR' you will be the closest person to both coasts in England! at around 33 Miles to east and west. Driving Biking walking or cycling around the area is fabulous as we are also the least populated place in England . That said it's only a mile to the local pub and 5 miles to Kielder Water and Hadrian's Wall is just over the hill to the South!
