There are many excellent walking routes close by, none more challenging than the Yorkshire Three Peaks, Pen -Y- Ghent, Ingleborough and Whernside, with spectacular of views of the rugged dales landscape. Take a drive into Swaledale over The Buttertubs Pass through traditional heather moorland with some of the finest views around.
