We require full electrical, gas and other safety certificates to be updated annually by the owners. Our friendly bookings and client support team are on hand to help you before and during your stay and our platoon of housekeepers and handymen and women who keep our holiday cottages in tip top condition. Browns Lane is an enchanting and picturesque 18th century mews cottage located down a quiet lane in the heart of Woodstock; a prime location in this historic town. The home is set across three floors and has recently been renovated to a high standard, but still keeping all of the homes classic style. The Inglenook fireplace in the living room is the perfect place to relax with the fire lit after a busy day of exploring Woodstock, Blenheim Palace and beyond. The master bedroom has a four poster bed which is super king sized with an en suite WC. The family bathroom has a stunning freestanding bath. The second bedroom is in the attic and is spacious with twin beds. Browns Lane does not have any outside space, but the stunning Blenheim Park is just 5 minutes walk from the home. There are many excellent restaurants, pubs and coffee shops within walking distance in the town itself. Please note that Browns Lane is a period property that is about 200 years old, so there are some character quirks. The stairs to the first floor are narrower and steeper than usual and twist around as you ascend. You may find the ceilings a bit lower than you are used to, and there are some squeaky floorboards.

Woodstock makes the perfect holiday destination or base for Oxford city centre. Woodstock has enormous historical interest with the magnificent Blenheim Palace, birthplace of Winston Churchill, located in the centre, just two minutes walk from the cottage. Visitors to the palace can take a walk around the 2,000 acres of landscaped parkland and beautiful formal gardens or take a picnic by the great lake. Woodstock is located approximately eight miles outside of Oxford city centre to the North West of the city. Access to the city centre is easy and convenient by bus or by car. Woodstock makes the perfect location to explore the Cotswolds area and other cities of England such as London and Bath. London is now only 50 minutes by train from Oxford Parkway (a ten minute drive).
