Capritia Guest House is a friendly, family-run guest house, three minute level walk to the riverfront. There is a wide choice of restaurants, pubs, coffee shops and shops.
We serve delicious cooked breakfasts, fresh fruit, yogurts, cereals, toast, various teas and filter coffee in our dining room.
We are available to our guests for recommendations on days out or where to eat. We usually chat with guests in the morning while serving breakfast.
I enjoy the local walks taking in the beautiful scenery. I have been running our Guest House and Holiday Apartment for over 20 years and really enjoy getting to know the guests and sharing local knowledge with them.
There are many beautiful walks in the area. The Apartment is very close to the town centre where there are numerous restaurants, cafes, pubs and independent shops. There is a museum, amazing historic architecture. Dartmouth town is steeped in Naval and Maritime history. You can visit the Britiannia Royal Naval College where the late Queen met Prince Phillip. The Dartmouth Castle is an English Heritage Site. You can have a tour of Agatha Christie’s house and gardens (Greenway), which you can visit by ferry on the riverfront, which is only a short walk away from the Guest House. Slapton Sands is only a short distance away and is the site of the D-Day training with memorials in the middle of the beach and at the end. There is also a beautiful beach, Blackpool Sands, on the way to Slapton.
