We’re Esther and Nick - the hearts behind Beside the Loch. A couple of years ago, we swapped the busy streets of Brighton for the wild beauty of the Scottish Highlands, chasing a dream that had been with us for over 15 years. Fast forward to now, and here we are - living our dream in Onich. At Beside the Loch, you’ll find cabins and cottages designed for slowing down, reconnecting with nature, and diving into adventure. We live on site with our two boys, Hamish and Fraser, so you’ll often see us out running/biking trails, swimming in the loch, or pointing guests to our favourite hidden gems. We’ll even take you wild swimming, trail running, or to a hidden waterfall or two. Think of us as your friendly hosts - here to make sure your time Beside the Loch feels a little bit like heaven. Sandpiper Caravan - Affordable Comfort Nestled Between Glencoe and Fort William Want to explore the Highlands without breaking the bank? Our static caravans are a cosy, budget-friendly base. Built in the 1980s, they’re retro rather than modern - full of character, charm, and quirks. Think of them as a no-frills basecamp for Highland adventures: simple, snug, and with a roof over your head when the day is done. Sleeps up to 4 guests: -Master bedroom: Double bed with electric blanket -Twin bedroom: Two traditional caravan-size single beds (185cm x 65cm) with hot water bottles Please note: the single beds are smaller than standard household beds. If bed size may be an issue, we recommend one of our other accommodations instead. Fresh linens and towels are provided, with beds made up ready for your arrival.
