I live in Aberdyfi where Gareth and I run the Cartref Guesthouse comprising Pencartref self-catering apartment. The property has been fully refurbished since we took on the business in 2020 and we are now able to provide modern holiday facilities with the character of a grand Edwardian house: the best of both worlds, we hope.
My family have lived in Aberdyfi for 5 generations and I love to share this very special place with our guests.
We live on-site at Cartref and are Welsh speakers.
Cartref is located at the quiet western end of the village. It's a 5 minute walk to the village centre and 3 minutes to the beach. The house is across the road from the train station and the renowned championship golf-course is a 5 minute walk. We also have the bowling green and tennis courts just across the road.
Aberdyfi is a beautiful and unspoilt village with a great range of independent shops, restaurants, pubs and bars. It's great for year round trips with 4 miles of sandy beach, spectacular walks and mountains. It's ar the southern edge of Eryri (Snowdonia) national park and the perfect base from which to explore all it has to offer.
A warm, Welsh welcome awaits you at Cartref.
