Brig-y-Don was as close to perfection as could have been. Linda and Nigel are perfect hosts. The quality of their accommodation is outstanding. Lovely warm welcome. Excellent room with stunning views across the estuary. We opted to have breakfast at the property for the extra cost. Which was excellent and worth every penny. We will definitely be returning.

We loved this village; dog friendly shops, gift shops, clothing shops, ice cream parlous, pizzeria, bars, pubs, and a tapas restaurant! A huge dog-friendly beach, with calm and warm sea (we visited July) where we spent long days relaxing, snorkelling, and body boarding. Easy to visit nearby towns via train. Beautiful coastline with stunning hills and forests. We're so keen to return.

Lots of benches around to just sit and stare at the sea, or people watching! It's flat, so that makes it easy for people with dodgy knees, feet or hips. It isn't too busy, but I imagine it would be in high season. Don't expect lots of entertainment, there isn't any which is probably why it was full of 'people of a certain age'! Tywyn beach needs benches putting along its beach, but it was pretty and fairly empty when we went.

Aberdyfi is a little gem.

Aberdyfi is a little gem. Not too big as we prefer smaller towns & villages. The seafront is beautiful and has some good cafes and pubs which we visited during our stay and everyone gave a warm welcome. We stayed at the Seabreeze Restaurant with rooms, which did not disappoint. Comfortable clean accommodation with a restaurant that serves delicious food, all done by friendly staff. There is some lovely walking to be done (The Circular route above the village was wonderful, following much of the Coastal walk path, although not particularly well marked along the first half (OS map very useful). The views were stunning and we saw Hares and Kites in the area. It has a train station so easy to visit a little further afield (which we plan to do on our next trip). The beach is lovely with plenty of room and some lovely sand dunes. Can't wait to return. We loved it. Great location for a relaxing break.

Aberdovey is such a beautiful place it holds a lot of memories for us, we have been coming here for over 20 years each time we always seem to find other places to visit nearby, always sad to leave but know we will come back next year.

If you are looking for an amazing beach with great dunes for long walks Aberdyfi is great. Other than that it is a very quiet seaside town with a few shops and places to eat. There is a train station that can take you along the coast, also a golf club and a bowling club
