I honestly can't say enough wonderful things about Hayley and the lovely Hotel No. 5 - I had such a wonderful time in Llandudno because of my stay here. To start, it's spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and I loved that it's a little bit removed from the hustle and bustle of everything (yet still very close, walkable, and steps from the bus stop!) The breakfast was absolutely delicious and included everything you could need to start your day. But the greatest part of the experience is Hayley, who goes above and beyond for her guests! She is so knowledgeable about the area, always checks in to make sure that you're enjoying your stay, and just pours her heart and soul into Hotel No.5 - and it shows! Really recommend staying here if you're traveling to Llandudno. I will absolutely stay again next time I'm in town!

FAQs about hotels in Llandudno

Victorian Resort with a Welsh Twist

The most popular Wales seaside resort, Llandudno covers a peninsula with 2 sandy coastlines. The North Shore’s wide Victorian promenade is lined with period buildings which now house seafront hotels and guest houses. The beach itself stretches all the way between the Little Orme and Great Orme headlands, passing an outdoor swimming pool.

A historic tram climbs to the peak of Great Orme, where Bronze Age copper mines can be visited. The top is also reachable by cable car from Happy Valley, a recreation area with gardens and an artificial ski slope.

A road runs around the base of the headland passing the historic Grand Hotel, a property available on Booking.com and overlooking the Grade II-listed pier – the longest in Wales. The West Shore is much less developed and the Maesdu Golf Course forms most of its shoreline.

Of course, Llandudno has its fair share of traditional seaside pursuits such as donkey rides and fish and chip shops.

The town also has a modern retail park near the train station and Venue Cymru event centre, and wrought-iron canopies shade smaller shops along Mostyn Avenue, Broadway and Street. The latter - Mostyn Street - is effectively the high street and becomes brightly decorated during the Victorian carnival in May.

We live 10 miles away but there was till a lot to see that we hadn't seen before. We loved the show in the Venue and the food in their restaurant was outstanding. We had a lovely meal in the Goat Restaurant. The waiting staff were exceptional. Our trip up the Orme in a little bus was really interesting. We would have gone on the tram but the queue was huge. We are fortunate, living so close. We will be able to take the tram out of season. We did the Finding Alice Trail using our phones. Really good fun and excellent value for money.

Great place to visit, either for a short stay or longer. Plenty of attractions to visit. Conway & the Castle is definitely worth visiting. The Tram is superb, taking you to the top of the Orme. The Orme is a great walk. The Pier is beautiful. I will be a regular visitor in the years to come. Bus & Train service is excellent.

Great base for exploring North Wales

Great base for exploring North Wales Llandudno is a fantastic base for exploring the wider area. During our stay we visited Caernarfon Castle, Anglesey, Betws-y-Coed and Snowdon, and every trip had plenty of "wow" moments thanks to the breathtaking scenery. We've been to Llandudno a few times on day trips before, but we'd always stayed around the pier and beach. This time we did the Alice in Wonderland Trail, which took us exploring all over the town. We definitely beat our step record, with lots of hills and steps, but it was well worth it. It really opened our eyes to just how beautiful Llandudno is beyond the seafront. Our evenings were simple but just what we enjoy – a walk along the promenade, a stroll on the pier, and sitting at the bandstand listening to a brass band. It was a lovely way to end the day. One place we'd definitely recommend is the Coffee Centre. The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable. Best of all, it was away from the pesky seagulls meaning we could enjoy our meal in peace! If you're looking for a traditional seaside town that's also perfectly located for exploring the best of North Wales, Llandudno is hard to beat. We'll definitely be back!

Llandudno is a beautiful place to visit.

Llandudno is a beautiful place to visit. Only problem is the seagulls they'll snatch your food so definitely wouldnt eat on the beach. There are lots of lovely cafes for breakfast lunch and tea. The pubs close quite early around 11 in the week. Prices vary but there a wetherspoons which was busy but you got served easily if you ordered on there app. It's an excellent place to discover wales. We got the train to penmaenmawr which only cost £4 per person.

We love this hotel. This was our second stay here, we came for the pirates festival in Conwy. The hotel is in a perfect location opposite west shore Llandudno beach, with free on street parking. The rooms are of a good and comfortable standard, with sea views. The bar area is lovely, the breakfasts are delicious, the staff are brilliant and very helpful and the quality and value of the hotel overall, is amazing. We will be back next year.

Location excellent, had a sea view room with our own pet seagull on the window ledge, expecting to be fed, however he was disappointed this time. Room good, comfortable & clean, comfortable bed, breakfast room was a bit cafeteria style not hotel style, but the breakfast was good. Staff very friendly and helpful, they said a large updating & refurbishment due this winter, should make it very good for a stay in Llandudno.

Stayed here before and couldn’t believe the value for money so have returned, you will get better, more upmarket hotels, even in Llandudno but it’s really nice here, the staff are super friendly and helpful and a decent breakfast. Coupled with the location on the seafront, you won’t get a better pound for pound hotel in Llandudno. Will return again.
