One of 7,312 reviews:
"Classic British seaside resort town with lots of Victorian architecture and a very long pier... You could be in a TV episode of Agatha Christie's Poirot! Llandudno is a great launching point or base camp to see the sights of North Wales. I highly recommend staying a couple of nights. There is an Alice in Wonderland trail as Lewis Carroll was said to be a regular visitor here. We also enjoyed the beach promenade even in the wet and cold weather. We caught a few rainbows when the sun came out!"

"Everything was excellent. There were no issues at all. Great location to get around North Wales. Beth & Andrew have recommendations for things to see in the area and an extensive list of restaurants the pick of which has to be Watsons Bistro in Conwy. The hotel is peaceful and modern despite it being built about 200 hundred years ago. Breakfast has a wide variety of choice. The prices at the Coed Mawr are what I call realistic. After looking around for accommodation in other parts of Wales and Cornwall, I found many prices were beyond what I felt were reasonable Importantly Beth & Andrew are lovely people and this is reflected in the ambiance of the hotel. The views of the Conwy valley from the hotel could not be better. Would we stay there again? Of course we would. Conwy is within easy reach (10 Minutes) Parking is or could be a challenge but if you don't mind walking for 5 or 10 minutes then park further out and its free."

"A very nice place with 2 bedrooms with a cosy living room and a dining room which is perfect for me and my friend to stay. It's about 2 miles driving to shops and restaurants (bit too far to walk).. however, I had a loving jogged up and down the hill from the cottage to a Betws-y-coed village every morning. The place is very lovely I would highly recommended for a family to stay."

Tyndale Hotel is one, if not my favorite hotel, in all of England. The environment is cozy, and the staff makes you feel welcome and at home, they always had the best attitude and were very helpful. The food is delicious (I ate some pancakes that tasted like a warm Sunday morning), and the rooms are clean and spacious. My mom and I had the best time at this place, and when we come back to Llandudno, this will be the place we return to.

There was nothing we liked and we have been here several times before and thoroughly enjoyed our stays. Llandudno has become a magnet for immigrants and homeless people. The only saving grace was that we managed to get a table at The Cottage Loaf restaurant and it was a delight. We actually came home a day early.

Conwy is a wonderfully livable and relaxed town that retains an authentic local character without feeling overwhelmed by tourists. Beyond its impressive medieval castle and historic walls, it is extremely well-connected, with convenient train links and regular regional buses to nearby towns and surrounding hiking areas. We particularly enjoyed The Erskine Arms, which quickly became our favorite spot in town. A single week was nowhere near enough—we could have easily spent much more time here. Highly recommended as a destination and base for exploring North Wales!

I travel in North Wales regularly as I have many clients here. Betws-y-Coed is widely regarded as brilliant for visitors due to its unique combination of natural beauty, outdoor adventure, and village charm. it is the gateway to Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park. The village sits at the confluence of three rivers and is surrounded by Gwydir Forest, offering stunning views of the Swallow and Conwy Waterfalls, as well as historic sites like Pont-y-Pair Bridge. For all those adrenaline junkies, Betws y Coed is a hub for thrill-seekers, featuring Zip World (treetop zip lines and the Fforest Coaster) and Go Below (underground caving and obstacle courses), alongside world-class mountain biking trails like the Marin Route. for visitors looking for a more leisurely experience you may enjoy walks through ancient woodlands, visit the Conwy Valley Railway Museum with its miniature steam train, and browse independent shops and art galleries in the picturesque village center. Me, I like to stay here over the weekend and relax in the wonderful Royal Oak. This is a truly wonderful area that you must visit at least once....

We appreciated the warmth and friendliness of the people we met both at the holiday park and in the surrounding area. We ate mostly at the accommodation but had a lovely meal at the on-site pub. Had lunch at Gail's Kitchen. Although we arrived 15 minutes before they closed the lovely staff welcomed us and mad us a delicious lunch. Sandy Bank Bakery supplied us with scrumptious cream cakes to take home for tea. We visited Monday to Friday so unfortunately missed out on the fair.

Lovely riverside location - especially in the summer with pleasant cafes and tea rooms. The town is showing signs of 'fading'...and the retail opportunities are a little thin. However it is picturesque and quiet and would suit some people more than the rather touristy though attractive Betws Y Coed.

The usual touristy arcades and small shops near the sea. The sea being accessible, as far as we could tell, by going over the train line bridges. Plenty of bridges but we used the one accessed through the amusement arcade at the end of the main tourist road. I wouldn't use it again though as it seemed pretty loud when we walked through. Personal choice.
