Rocklea Farm is a traditional stone farmhouse surrounded by it's own land & accessed from a drive/ bridleway We are a uniquely peaceful location & our guests are welcome to use the gardens if they wish. Rocklea is surrounded by miles of walkways & footpaths through woodland & countryside. We are situated above the Wye Valley( AONB ) near Tintern with it's famous 12th century Abbey on the banks of the river. there are many local pubs & eateries ,a couple within walking distance. We live on site but the cottage is completely private. The Farm has Horses & a couple of very loving dogs! We are in a rural location, 1.2 miles from the nearest pub & app. 2 miles from the nearest shop. Our nearest town is Monmouth which is about 6 miles away
Our family has lived on the Farm for many years & we are happy to offer our guests the peace & freedom of this lovely location
The area is well known for it's outdoor pursuits including Canoeing on the Wye (see Symonds Yat canoe hire) & miles of cycle tracks through the ancient Forest of Dean with daily bike hire available. We are close to the market Towns of Monmouth & Abergavenney which is a gateway to wild Wales & the Brecon Beacons National park .
