The house is located in a prime position overlooking the beach and sea (The Solent) in West Cowes, so you can look down toward the beach and sea from the garden & in the hammock if the weather allows. It's a ten-second walk to the beach where there is a tea and ice cream shop open from April to October, but I have plastic glasses for most types of drinks & a picnic rug so why not take drinks/picnic etc down to the beach on sunny days. You walk to the next village along the coast to Gurnard which is World renowned for having some of the best sunsets in the World, which you can enjoy with a pint from one of the three wonderful terraces in the beer garden of The Woodvale pub (which also serves food). If you do, don't forget to keep your eyes open for a white house on the front overlooking the beach with a plaque in the pavement with an interesting story about Winston Churchill's parents meeting there (this is only about a 2-minute walk from Cliffside). I have a two-person canoe/kayak too which you can either paddle up or down Cowes Beach or if you're feeling adventurous along to the next village's beach (Gurnard). You can walk here in 20 minutes from the RedJet (or a 5-minute taxi). Just walk West along the High Street from the RedJet terminal, along the parade, around the Royal Yach Squadron, then down the beach and you're here :). If you're coming by car ferry from Southampton (Red Funnel) then you just get the floating bridge/chain ferry across the Medina (5 minutes) then it's a maximum of a ten-minute drive here. It's also a nice walk to the chain ferry where you cross the Medina to go and visit East Cowes attractions such as Queen Victoria's old home, Osborne House. Cliffside is in a perfect location since it's a quiet location on the edge of town by the beach but within very easy walking distance so you can walk in and enjoy the many pubs and new restaurants that have been popping up recently, which is great to see. **CHRISTMAS** - message me to discuss
