Arrive via the private driveway and park in your dedicated space before stepping inside Myrtle Stables, a beautifully converted stable nestled beside our farmhouse in the Kent countryside. A welcoming entrance hall provides space for coats and shoes before leading into a bright, open-plan living area. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need for a self-catering stay, while the comfortable lounge opens through French doors onto your own private deck and enclosed garden – perfect for breakfast in the sunshine or relaxing after a day exploring. Upstairs, the principal bedroom features a king-size bed and a Juliet balcony overlooking the surrounding countryside, with space for a travel cot or an additional fold-out bed if required. The second bedroom offers a small double sofa bed with garden views through a Velux window. The family bathroom includes a bath, electric shower and WC. The lounge sofa can also accommodate up to two additional guests if needed. Despite its rural setting, Myrtle Stables enjoys excellent transport links. The A299 runs behind the property, providing quick and easy access to Canterbury, Whitstable, Faversham and the wider Kent coast, making it an ideal base for exploring East Kent. Guest access Guests arrive via a tarmac driveway beside the farmhouse, with a dedicated parking space directly outside Myrtle Stables. You’ll have exclusive use of the private garden and decking throughout your stay. An EV charging point is available for guest use (additional charges apply – please enquire in advance).

We live in the farmhouse, just a short stroll from Myrtle Stables. We’re Mark and Julia, along with our nearly grown-up children, Ruby and Sam, who have both lived in the area all their lives. We’re always happy to share recommendations for places to visit, walks, beaches, pubs and restaurants, or help with anything you need during your stay. Dating back more than 800 years, it’s a favourite with both locals and visitors, serving excellent food, local ales and a warm welcome. In the summer, the garden is the perfect spot to enjoy a drink in the sunshine, while winter visitors can relax beside the open fire after a day exploring.
