The cottage sits within Darracott Farm, a Devon smallholding. It is the perfect place for a wonderful holiday or getaway. The cottage is all on one level making it ideal for those who don't wish to manage stairs. Underfloor heating is provided throughout the cottage and the temperature can be controlled separately in each room. The kitchen and dining area is well equipped with a modern kitchen containing integrated oven, microwave, induction hob, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. If you would rather not cook, The Old Smithy Inn is a minute's walk away, and there are wide range of eateries in the local area serving locally sourced food from land and sea. The living room has a TV with Netflix and Chromecast TV, electric fireplace, relaxing armchairs and a cosy rocking couples seat. There is also a desk to sit and write at. Both bedrooms have luxurious cotton bedding, TV, en-suite shower room, dressing table , wardrobe, drawers and storage space. The first bedroom has king size bed and TV with Netflix. The second bedroom can either have a super king size bed or two singles. It also has a TV.

Hello, we are Richard and Helen as we live here at Darracott Farm. We have lived here in Devon for 15 years and love the area and the people who live here. We are developing a natural skincare business at the farm and are also regenerating the smallholding to grow botanicals for the skincare products. You will also meet Ant and Dec at the farm, our two friendly pigs who love nothing more than chatting to you and relieving you of any stray carrots or apples you may have to hand. The cottage is set in the North Devon Area of Outstanding Beauty and UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. A variety of walks are available from the cottage including the dramatic coastal path, Marsland Nature Reserve, woodland and stunning Devon rolling countryside. Welcombe is on the county border so Cornwall is just a ten minute walk away for those who like jam on their scones first! Welcombe has two beaches. Welcombe Mouth is the most popular and has a car park. It is has a sandy area at low tide and a waterfall to the north. The rock formations around Welcombe Mouth are breath taking and provide numerous rock pools to explore. It is popular with experienced surfers and body boarders. Marsland Mouth sits on the southern end of the village and forms the border with Cornwall.
