In Hertford town center, The Dog and Whistle Pub provides boutique-style rooms displaying contemporary design. With a bar and restaurant serving an ever-changing menu, it also provides free WiFi. Each room has a flat-screen TV and tea and coffee facilities, as well as an en suite shower with toiletries provided. Some rooms also have a bath. During FIFA World Cup 2026, please be aware that we will be showing all England matches in our pub - bar and outside garden area.

A menu of freshly cooked Mexican Street food is served, alongside continental lagers and a wide range of cocktails freshly made by the bar staff. The pub also hosts regular live music and Dj nights / events creating a lively atmosphere within the venue. Guests who prefer a quieter stay are encouraged to check the events schedule on our website or giving us a call prior to booking to avoid dissatisfaction, as noise levels may be higher on event evenings.

Please be aware music will be played on the ground floor of the pub on Thursday evenings until 23:30 and on Friday and Saturday evenings until 00:30.

There is no lift at the hotel. Please be aware that the stairs to the top floor are steep and there are low ceilings.

We are located right in town centre with other bars and restaurants open till late on weekend nights, which might disturb your nights stay with us.
