Unable to locate the keys, same issue as detailed by other reviewers: the box was incredibly difficult to find it wasn't on the right hand side of the main road, it was dark and it was a very windy and it was rainy and I really struggled. I had to call the owner who then explained.

Easy travel from the train station into St Pancreas.

Easy travel from the train station into St Pancreas. From there Kings Cross opposite, Euston a short walk making everything easily accessible. Plenty of places to eat and drink, feels a lot quieter than London itself, felt very safe. Easy to walk around.

St Albans is a picturesque and quiet town with a rich history at just 25 minutes by train or tube from the centre of London. More than worth a visit, but also the perfect basis for visiting London (and more affordable!).

First visit to St Albans, very nice.

First visit to St Albans, very nice. However we had booked Voula for a meal in the evening only to find it had shut down. Very annoying as it was for my husband's 60th birthday. I had even received a confirmation email from them the night before. Had they had a website I would have definitely written but very annoying!!! We did manage to find a Thai which was ok. We were lucky with the weather and found some wonderful shops too. Would like to visit again

St Albans is a lovely, compact city with a good range of independent and high street shops (and very few empty units, unlike other places). It's very walkable, the Abbey and grounds and other historic sights make for added interest alongside the many medieval buildings (including a number of ancient pubs). You are spoilt for choice for places to eat and drink. It's great for an overnight stop, or a short break. It's worth saying that the main centre is at the top of a couple of big hills, but it's all pretty flat once you're there.

I used to live in St Albans as I returned to show my partner the city I loved. The Cathedral and surrounding park are gorgeous, and we walked there every evening as the sun was setting. The local restaurants are perfect spots for breakfast out (Marmalade and Hatch are fab!), and the city is fairly walkable. Genuinely the most gorgeous city, and I miss it

We are so impressed by St Albans !

We are so impressed by St Albans ! There is every kind of shop you could want and lots of restaurants and cafes. There is quite a bit of Roman history around for those who enjoy that. The cathedral is amazing, and next to it is an enormous park with a beautiful lake. St Albans is a fabulous place to visit. It felt a very safe place.

Booked to stay as I'd stayed last year. Viv and Brian are excellent hosts, friendly and chatty. The premises are well situated, a quiet location, an effortlessly short distance from the town centre, close to the bus stop with frequent buses, saving you trying to park in town or pay the expensive parking charges. A very comfortable night's sleep. You're not an anonymous guest in a big hotel. Will definitely book again when I'm in the area.

Location, very handy for the city centre. Privacy, having the run of the place with the bonus of a small garden that wasn't overlooked in any direction. Perfect for my needs.
