Dating back to the 11th century, Broughton-in-Furness is situated in the south western corner of the Lake District and is just six miles from Coniston Water. There is much to please the visitor such as a pretty, cobbled square complete with a splendid horse chestnut tree, enclosed by shops, pubs and homes, many of them Georgian in origin.
