Built in 1870's, Elm Cottage was originally the Station Masters cottage and stands proudly on the edge of the beautiful Cotswold village of Alvescot. The property has been recently renovated to a high standard in an early 20th century style with numerous references to William Morris and the Arts & Crafts movement. Elm Cottage is located in a beautiful Oxfordshire village, with a traditional pub. Amenities are in a town nearby. The famous Cotswolds Wildlife Park is a matter of minutes away, as is Kelmscott Manor, famous as the home of William Morris and the centre of the Arts and Crafts movement. The village is close to the renowned Cotswolds town of Burford. There is plenty of off road parking at the cottage and a beautiful garden. The reception rooms and bedrooms are large, so that the property is airy, yet retains a cottage, cosy feel.

Alvescot is a beautiful, thriving Cotswold village with a tree lined main street, a classic village pub, St Peter's Church with it's Early English and Perpendicular architecture and a village recreation area boasting a children's playground and tennis courts. The beautiful towns of Burford, with its famous high street, and Bampton, featured in Downton Abbey, are only a few minutes drive away - well as Kelmscott Manor, the 16th Century former home of William Morris.
