Beds were super comfortable and the house had everything you’d need for a good stay. It was also well located to explore Somerset. Also handy to have a Co-Op store just around the corner with good opening times.

Our cottage is in-fact our second home therefore it has all the home comforts and "feel" of a home from home. The cottage is very "English" and the inglenook fireplace is a special feature. Walking up the original pathway, you will find English roses at the doorway to the cottage. Whilst it is over 350 years old, we have ensured through the renovations that we have up to date facilities. Instant hot water and "google nest" supported heating, excellent wifi, nespresso coffee machine and excellent white goods in the kitchen whilst also retaining the feature of the real log fire and a victorian fire (now gas) in the dining room. The main bedroom is particularly cosy with two relaxing armchairs by the ceiling to floor windows (low beamed ceiling) where you can relax, have a glass of wine, watch TV and watch the day draw to a close. The twin bedded room is of a good size and you can enjoy the rear garden and listen to the birds! The bathroom is downstairs through the kitchen, however has a wonderful walk in double shower and a double ended bath! The rear garden is a delight - small table and chairs for eating (Barbie available) two relaxing chairs housed in the shed
My husband and I have always enjoyed travelling. We are very people orientated and enjoy sharing our home with others. We hope that our guests enjoy our cottage as much as we do, Our hobby these days is music. We have our own band (The Gill Love Band) offering an eclectic mix of songs to support charity fund raising. Gill sings and Tony plays guitar, we have drums, bass and lead guitar and two sax players. There are 7 of us in total and we love playing at large charity events. Great fun and hopefully increases the funding for the charities. We are happy to answer to "G" and "T".
There are so many things nearby.. Immediately, we have the Bell pub within walking distance and the wonderful little co op open from 7:00am until 10:00pm every day including Sunday. It houses a cash machine as well as a post office. We are extremely close to the Bath and West showground. Longleat with its famous Safari Park, Stourhead and many other National Trust properties, Glastonbury, Wells, Cheddar Gorge and the Cheddar caves, , not to mention the tourist attractions of Bath and Bristol and of course the wonderful coastline of Dorset with Burton Bradstock and Lyme Regis only 55 minutes away. Further afield in Somerset are the Somerset levels running south from the Mendips to the Blackdown Hills. In this area, you will find lots of Willow crafts. For those who like to shop there is the Clarks Village in Street and of course the Mulberry factory Shop located in the Kilver Court designer village only 10 mins away!
