Ferroch sits in iconic Torridon with spectacular views over Upper Loch Torridon sea loch & the Torridon Mountains. It is is one house split into 2 connecting sides so can be rented as one for up to 11 (in 5 bedrooms) or smaller parties can rent either the 3 bedroom side or the connecting 2 bedroom cottage. The 3 bedroom side sleeps up to 7 & has a sitting/dining room with lovely picture window, a very well equipped kitchen & utility room with separate loo. Upstairs is a double room taking in the wonderful views & a king/twin with extra single bed. The downstairs bedroom has a king/twin bed. All rooms are very comfortable with ensuite showers. Linen and towels are provided & soap products from the famous Highland Soap company who use only natural ingredients. We try to be as eco friendly as possible using eco products & providing composting & recycling bins etc. The 2 bedroom cottage sleeps up to 4 in a king/twin room with ensuite bath + separate shower and a twin room with ensuite shower. There is a sitting room with woodburning stove and sun room, entrance lobby and well equipped kitchen. The garden is a wonderful place to sit in the sun & enjoy the scene. There is a large garden table & chairs at the front for everyone and a picnic table for the 3 bedroom side in the sun trap at the back of the house outside the kitchen. A fire pit with barbecue grill is there for guests. Deer can be seen around the house and lots of other wild life on the surrounding estate. There are walks from the house to suit every level of fitness - either up or along! For those wanting to relax the Torridon Hotel is a 10 minute walk or the Torridon stores and cafe 25! By car of course it takes just minutes! For cyclists we have a large garage to store bikes. The pretty village of Shieldaig, which has a shop, pub, restaurant and cafe is a 10 minute drive away & we are on the NC500 route.

Ferroch is our home from home and we are excited to share it with visitors so that others can enjoy the view from the house and the wonderful area where it sits. We enjoy walking, climbing, fishing, cycling and relaxing whilst we're there. We hope people will love it as much as we do!

Torridon is very beautiful and situated on the NC500. From the house you can walk, climb, or admire the view. On the estate you can fish, fly fishing only, for trout on the fresh water of Loch Damph, the hill lochs, the river Thrail & the river Torridon. We can rent you a boat to fly fish on Loch Damph. Although the area is remote there are several excellent restaurants within 20 minutes drive. The Torridon Hotel and bar is a 10 minute walk away - here you can eat casually in the bar or spoil yourself with fine dining in their excellent restaurant. Loch Carron, Applecross and Gairloch are all about 40 minutes away as is the wonderful Inverewe garden. In Shieldaig you can rent a kayak or eat in the coastal kitchen with views over the sea. If you are a Munro bagger then Ben Alligin, Ben Eighe and the famous Liathach are on the doorstep. Ben Damph is just a few feet short of a munro and a relatively easy mountain to climb! Going up is always worth it for the views in Torridon!
