We had the family suite for the four of us, and it was wonderfully private and comfortable. The rooms and beds were perfect and the scenery was gorgeous. We loved dinner and drinks at the bar and, of course, breakfast! Jinxie was so nice and welcoming, and told the best stories. We really enjoyed talking to him! The town has a very quiet, local feel with beautiful sunsets! The walk to the castle was lovely! Would definitely stay here again!

The location of the hotel - a traditional Highland building - was great, we had an astonishing view over Loch Duich with unforgettable sunsets. We stayed there two nights and it was a good location for visiting Isle of Skye. We had a cosy room with a great view of the lake. Food was good as well. The place was very quiet and relaxing, I hope we will go back again!

The space and views were amazing! The kitchen kitted out to such a level, went into town for groceries, and enjoyed a home cooked meal. The laundry room was an added bonus, but the best by far was the view we had.

What Guests Said About Dornie:

Good food but room was very poor value for money.

Good food but room was very poor value for money. No facilities at all except basic tea & coffee. Not even a tv. Very small rooms but well decorated & clean. Tiny bathroom had a dripping tap and broken tap surround. Would have liked at least a radio to listen to the news and a full mirror & iron.

Dornie itself is a quaint little town with only a couple restaurants that have evening hours only. We did not have an opportunity to try them. Eilean Donan Castle was a bit of a disappointment. While widely photographed, the castle is unimpressive. Enjoyed the majesty and breathtaking views of Dunnottar Castle over most any other. We stayed in a cozy little cottage that was excellent! (Sleepy Hollow) Just about a hundred yards from where we stayed was a wonderful take away shop called Pizza Jo’s. Great pizza and in very unique tiny fairy building. The lot also included a small bakery and distillery.

Fantastic location. 5 minutes walk from Eileen Dolan castle. Food on the evening was outstanding. Breakfast also was very good. Small but comfortable room. Pub down the road good also which is owned by the hotel. Can choose to eat in the hotel or in the pub.

Lovely quiet location, great home cooked breakfast. Room was basic with no television, although we were fine with that However, clearly hearing the people in the room next door was very disconcerting

Best to vivsi in summer season when the area's recreational stuff is fully open...but apparently the area gets congested. we travelled to visit relatives so have an unusual viewpoint. The scenery in the area is stunning whatever the weather, and on a day trip to Raasay via Skye "iced the cake" when a soaring white-tailed eagle was viewed through binoculars.
