Property info
Stunning Gypsy caravan - a secluded, rustic, Cornish hideaway glamping experience, perfect to relax and unwind in natural surroundings [you may find tree debris in the bath & surrounds !] overlooking the lake, stocked with carp, perch and tench. Bring your own fishing gear please.
Note that this site off-grid with solar powered fridge [ice packs for dull days] but no wifi and no mobile phone signal. Parking is about 200m away.
The accommodation benefits from having an outdoor bath with hand shower [ pull out privacy screen !],Enjoy the birdsong, wildlife and stars as you enjoy a warm soak. For those cold or rainy days there is an inside shower nearby [shared by a maximum of 2 other couples]. You have your own compost toilet alongside the caravan.
There is outdoor seating, kitchen & dining area. Inside there is a small 1930's Queenie wood-burning stove to keep you warm on those chilly nights. Note: The bed is a small double pull-out 6ft long x 42inches wide with 2 separate mattresses. It slides back to create more daytime space. There is a comfortable chaise lounge to relax on by the fire or enjoy the view over the lake. Warm throws are also provided.
The cooking area with parasol shelter has twin gas hobs and grill with all utensils, cutlery, crockery etc supplied. Firepit with logs supplied for one night and we can sell you more. Portable BBQ ready to cook in 3 minutes, charcoal etc supplied.
We are out in the countryside yet less than 2 miles from the beach at Crackington Haven which has a sandy beach [mid to low tide] and often good surf.
This site is also perfect for joining the South West coast path. Bus services Crackington to Bude or Crackington to Boscastle or Tintagel make the walks one-way.
Eating out options. The Coombe Barton Inn, the Haven and The Cabin cafes at Crackington Haven all serve fresh home-cooked food locally sourced. Boscastle Farm Shop, The Riverside, The Rocket Store, The Wellington and the Cobweb Inn in Boscastle are all recommended.

We are just 11 miles south of Bude that boasts 2 beaches, outdoor sea pool, banks, supermarkets, ten pin bowling, soft play etc. We are within easy touring distance from Padstow, Polzeath, Boscastle, Tintagel, St Nectans Glen and much more. In fact it is the perfect for exploring the North Cornwall coast.
