Martin established Abodebed in July 2007, having discovered a need for quality, serviced accommodation to serve the growing business community in Hemel Hempstead. Starting with 3 apartments, the reputation of Abodebed has spread throughout the Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire areas and now guests, both business and leisure alike, have a choice of more than 25 apartments. Since launch, Martin has welcomed guests from all corners of the globe. Martin thrives on ensuring that Abodebed continues to grow, whilst maintaining the high service standards that our many repeat guests have come to expect. Martin’s favourite hobby is socialising, which is why he really enjoys running Abodebed, as he gets to meet new and interesting people from around the world on a daily basis! And that really doesn’t feel like work!

We have over 25 properties at our Hemel Hempstead apartments offering, comfortable, stylish and the home from home experience in our 1 and 2 bedroom apartments. We can provide accommodation for up to 6 people in a 2 bedroom apartment, with a double sofa bed in the living room. Our Handleys Court location is across several floors, each of which are accessed by lift and all our apartments are suitable for wheelchair access. Secure on-site parking is also included for 1 vehicle. We pride ourselves on being so much more than a hotel. Complimentary weekly housekeeping is included for our longer term guests. Each apartment has a flat screen Smart TV's with Sky Plus as standard. Wifi is also included. The kitchen area is fully equipped and we do provide our guests with an initial supply of tea, coffee, water & cereals, along with laundry and cleaning products. Extras such as rice cookers, nespresso machines can be provided upon request.

Hemel Hempstead is a modern, vibrant and growing town. There is the Marlowes Shopping Centre providing retail outlets. Have a relaxing bite to eat or a coffee at Starbucks, Costa Coffee, Subway or Tiki. Across from the town centre is the cricket pitch and Grand Union canal. Here you can take a lovely 15 minute stroll down to Apsley Lock where you can find The Paper Mill Pub & Restaurant, Calazoni Pizza & Pasta. A 2 minute drive or stroll up to Jarman Square will find you at Tesco Extra (one of the many places to food shop locally - Asda, Iceland, Sainsburys are all nearby). Jarman Square not only offers Cineworld with over 10+ screens, but there is also an ice skating rink, the fantastic XC Centre for skate boarding/BMX, pot holing and rock climbing. There are many eateries at Jarman Square too to take your pick. You will not be disappointed. Along from the Apartments are also many nice oldy worldy pubs such as The Blackbirds, The Steam Coach and the Fishery Inn (looking out over the canal).
