Heron's Hide is a lake-side, 4 bedroom holiday house that sleeps up to 10 people on Lower Mill Estate, part of the Cotswolds Lakes. The detached property has spectacular views of Spinney Lake & a fantastic roof terrace. Rental comes with free access to the onsite spa which has 3 swimming pools (one outdoor, one indoor, one reed), a gym, steam room, sauna, treatment rooms & 3 tennis courts. On the ground floor there is a large open plan kitchen, living & dining area with wood burning stove, flat screen tv & fabulous lake views. There is also a utilty room with washing machine and tumble dryer, downstairs loo and a snug with sofa, tv & desk. The kitchen has a large fridge freezer, oven, microwave, quooker tap, two dishwashers and two sinks. The large glass patio doors open from the living area to a terrace with dining table for 10, bbq & lawn that leads to the lake & private jetty from which you can canoe & paddle board. There is also a huge roof terrace with seating - the perfect place to relax & enjoy the views of the lake. The 4 bedrooms are on the first floor - 2 with king beds, one with two singles & one with bunk beds that sleeps 4. The king bedrooms both have en suite shower rooms & the other bedrooms are served by a family bathroom with bath & separate shower. The two king bedrooms have balconies with bistro-style table and chairs so that guests can enjoy a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and the view. There is private parking for 3 cars immediately outside the house. A maximum of 2 dogs are welcome at Heron's Hide and are charged at thirty pounds per dog per stay. Payment is due at arrival at Heron's Hide. We ask that they are kept downstairs and off the furniture. Please note that Lower Mill Estate does not accept single-sex bookings in the properties so no stag or hen parties. They also do not allow contractors to stay on the estate whilst working in the area.

The estate has a restaurant which is 5 minutes walk from the house serving breakfast, lunch and dinner & a small shop area selling essentials. The spa is also 5 minutes from the house. There is an activity centre on the estate where you can hire bicycles, paddle boards & canoes. There are many great pubs in the area & plenty within walking/cycling distance. Lower Mill Estate is a lakeside nature reserve comprising of eight lakes, two rivers & miles of walking trails. Its woodlands & hedgerows are home to a diverse range of native wildlife. Over 25 species of waterbirds can be seen on the lakes over Winter. Spring brings a huge range of breeding birds, House Martins arrive in April & can be seen nesting on the houses. Walk through wildflower meadows in summer and marvel at the diversity of brightly coloured damselflies & dragonflies around the lakes. Water voles and otters use the lakes and rivers. Cirencester is 5 miles away & is a great place for some retail therapy with a unique mix of independently owned shops plus national chains. The towns of Tetbury, Burford, Stow, Broadway & Bourton-on-the-Water are nearby and there are many National Trust properties and gardens to visit.
