Imperial House is an iconic building, built in 1882 as the first flat iron building in the world, pre-dating New Yorks flat Iron building by 20 years. It is one of the most handsome and stylish properties on the coastline. The twelve individual two double bedroom, two bathroom (one En-Suit) apartments within Imperial House are unique in design decor and all serviced by a lift. These apartments all have wonderful direct sea views and are located on the beach front only yards from being able to paddle your toes in the water. We occupy the ultimate location at the front of the Old Town with the best selection of restaurants, bars and attractions only metres away by foot.

I live in the Imperial House and I am therefore there to meet and greet my guest, whilst providing a lovely, safe, comfortable environment for people to enjoy their break.

We are located in the busiest and most vibrant area of Margate. The Imperial House is situated on the beach front, next to the famous Steps where everyone gathers to watch the sunset. Behind us is the ultra charming Old Town with it`s Arts and Crafts emporiums, Boutiques, Fabulous choice of Restaurants, Art Galleries, Port Beach, Turner Contemporary Art Gallery and much, much more within a very short walk.
