I have lovingly restored Ingleside Cottage over the past few years to create what will be our home, but also a home to share with guests that enjoy the beautiful countryside. We do enjoy welcoming our guests into both Ingleside Cottage here in Glaisdale and also Albion Cottage just along in Whitby.

Ingleside is a beautiful traditional stone built Yorkshire cottage situated on the edge of the village of Glaisdale on the stunning North Yorkshire Moors. Enjoying the benefits of underfloor heating throughout the ground floor to compliment the original traditional real open wood fire , this beautiful Cottage is the ideal escape in both Summer and winter. There is a new modern kitchen with washing machine, dishwasher, induction hob, fan assisted oven and fridge freezer and the all important coffee pod machine using reusable coffee pods. The new extention to the rear gives breath taking views over the spectacular Yorkshire countryside. On the first floor is a spectacular main bedroom with a Kingsize bed and which also opens up to the original roof timbers. The second bedroom has two oak framed single beds and stunning views across the Moors. The bathroom has a beautiful slipper bath to soothe yourself and also a large modern shower plus w/c and large sink with illuminated mirror. There is also a patio area to enjoy those long Sunny days taking in the outstanding views whilst enjoying the neighbours sheep, chickens and ducks which will often pass by.

If walking is your passion, then Ingleside Cottage is certainly your perfect location. We have various walks on our doorstep taking you out onto the North Yorkshire Moors or walks along the River Esk. There are 6 local public houses within a few miles of the cottage serving the very best locally cooked food. Glaisdale is servery by a village store/post office and a renowned local butcher and also tea rooms. There is a community bus that runs regularly by our door throughout the day and also a train station that can take you to Whitby in 20 minutes, or neighbouring villages such as Egton that boasts 4 excellent public houses serving excellent food as well as Grosmont where you can catch a steam train to Pickering via Goathland (Aidensfield) or Whitby.
