This is a much loved family holiday home where we enjoy many happy summer and winter breaks. It is perfect for people 0-100. You could not hope for a better location just a few minutes stroll to the beach, we have spent full weeks here without using the car at all! This is a family holiday home so is kitted out with just about anything you could need. It has a large master bedroom with kind sized bed, a twin room and a single bedroom. The rear garden is a suntrap and has the sun most of the day, whereas the front terrace has morning sun and is wonderful for sitting with a coffee watching the harbour. The property is located in a unique harbour side position in the coastal village of Portreath midway between St Ives and Newquay on the North Cornish coast. Redruth 3 miles, Truro 14 m, St Ives 15m, Newquay 18m. A family favoured destination for beach holidays (lifeguards during the summer months) superb surfing and coastal walks. This waterfront terraced cottage is a few minutes walk from the beach and the local amenities. There are beach chairs, Patio table and chairs and a selection of wetsuits avaiable in the garage.There is private parking at the rear of the property.

We have been visiting Portreath for well over 30 years and even when exploring other areas of Cornwall have found ourselves drawn back time and time again. We have finally bought a house of our own so we can visit more often and enjoy time with our grandchildren on the beach.

Portreath boasts three pubs all serving food, three cafes, fish & chips from the Atlantic cafe, Chinese takeaway, local shop, hairdressers and the famous Portreath bakery. Aldi Lidle Morrisons and Tesco are within 10 minutes drive. The ideal location for visiting many of Cornwall's attractions including the Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan. The South West coastal path passes through the village. If you have National trust membership there is a wealth of properties and locations to visit, far more than you can fit into one visit so the hardest part is deciding on where you'd like to visit the most! Some of our family favourites are St Michaels Mount, Godrevy and Trerice. The beach is only a short stroll away. During low tide there are rock pools to explore and I recommend a rock pool safari run by Feadon Farm. There is also a large pool in the rock pools that you can jump and swim in. In the middle of the beach the stream runs down to the sea and this is a favoured spot for children. Ours have spent many hours making friends and creating dams and castles. The beach is also perfect for body boarding and surfing. Wet-suits and boards are available to hire from the surf shop.
