Best of all worlds! Perfect english village setting, but minutes from BATH by train or car. Ivythorpe Coach House is a stylish historic home in a beautiful English village 10 minutes from the World Heritage City of BATH. A rural idyll with boutique hotel style comfort. No car necessary. We are a professional family with four teenage children. We love culture and travel.
Local amenities within 5 minutes walk include an award winning village shop and cafe, post office, and The Inn at Freshford, overlooking the river. The Coach House has its own garden area with wonderful views, and off street parking for two cars. Alternatively, leave the car at home and make use of the regular train to Bath from Freshford station, 5 minutes walk from Ivythorpe Coach House ! Bath is a world heritage site, and as well as the famous Roman Baths and Georgian Architecture, provides excellent shopping and dining facilities, Theatre Royal, Odeon and Art House cinema, and rugby at 'The Rec' for those that like it! Babington House, part of the Soho House group, is a 15 minute drive away. Sites within an hours drive include Stonehenge, Salisbury cathedral, Longleat, Bristol and Wells.
