Everything was spot on. We were taking our dog but plans changed - but there was a little dog bed and treats there anyway. Provisions for our one night. We will return.

Dick and his staff are all amazing. They bend over backwards to ensure that your stay is comfortable. Dick has thought of every single detail to make everything completely perfect. There was one day when the city had an unexpected emergency and the water was turned off. We came back to our room to find bottles of water thoughtfully placed at our door. Excellent internet as well. Breakfast is incredible and from now on we will rate the breakfasts at any other place we ever stay against that served at Widbrook Barns! The bed is comfortable; the shower is excellent with plenty of hot water; Dick has installed grab bars for safety; and there is a great towel warmer for those huge, fluffy towels! Everything is immaculate too! The chairs in front of the door are a final welcoming touch. When the weather is warm, sitting outside and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of the garden is so very pleasant. Widbrook Barns is so wonderful that after 3 days we left for a week and then returned for an additional 4 days. I can’t think of a better endorsement than that!

What a lovely place! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The people and the service are amazing, 10+ out of 10. Not only did they help get our luggage up the stairs, they found umbrellas for us to use on our outings and were there at every turn for anything we might need. The bar staff are super friendly and the cook was amazing. Breakfast is the best I've had, and there were several menu items to choose from. We stayed in the small apartment and really enjoyed having a separate area to watch TV and relax. All in all, we loved our stay here. We would like to return again some day and spend more time with these wonderful people. They truly are the best! ❤️

The inn is so charming with lovely gardens and a warm homey feel in our room as well as the restaurant/pub. Breakfast was delicious as were the meat pies and all the meals the chef prepared for us. Everyone, especially Carly, Brandon and Layla were happy to help us with anything we asked. Thank you all for a perfect first trip to the English countryside!

Stunning views from back lawn however insufficient seating should all the guests wish to sit outside. House(hotel) is very dated and could be regarded as quaint. Excellent restaurants in Bradford on Avon with Marlborough only a short drive , worth it.

Lovely walks by the canal and around the country park.

Lovely walks by the canal and around the country park. The town centre traffic was pretty bad but, as it was a short walk from the apartment, there was no need to drive. Several nice towns and villages were within easy reach as was Bath which is a short train ride away.

Bradford on Avon is a delightful, small riverside town with plenty of historic architecture, much of it from the Georgian period. There are plenty of pubs and other places to eat, and there appears to be a lot going on (a music festival, with most of the events free, was taking place whilst we were there). The town is also an ideal place to stay if you are visiting Bath, or even Bristol, as there are good bus and train connections. The only thing that really lets the town down is the incessant heavy traffic passing through the centre - even worse now than when I last visited around 45 years ago.

Good location for walks along the canal and access to Longleat but the town itself seems a little tired. The towpath by the river was lovely and areas around the Tithe Barn are very nice. Timbrells Yard had great food, great staff and great lication

The town is very pretty with plenty of delightful shops and places to eat. The river is beautiful and there are numerous events all summer in the area. Downside is the traffic which is relentless at rush hour so avoid between 4 and 6.30pm and peak tourist times if possible

Bradford on Avon was a lovely historic town with great pubs...

Bradford on Avon was a lovely historic town with great pubs and restaurants. We stumbled across the Stumble Inn and was not disappointed. It was charming and filled with items that took us back to our childhood. Beer was served in handled beer glasses filled from wooden kegs. Ravello's restaurant was fabulous and in such a stunning building. We could have stayed a few days longer and explored the place further.

Restaurant and bar available for those requiring refreshment. Hotel staff very friendly and welcoming. This is a very old building but rooms have been decorated sympathetically and are in keeping with the historical setting.

Really enjoyed our stay at The Castle Inn. It is a lovely English pub with gorgeous beer garden. The room was very spacious and the bed was super comfortable. The staff were all wonderful and very welcoming. The breakfast was phenomenal! The town Bradford on Avon is absolutely beautiful to walk around and the Inn is very close to everything and a very short drive to Bath.

Very nice room with a river view. Bradford on Avon is also a pretty village and the location is very central. The hotel has a nice vibe and decor, restaurant was pleasant. They also stored two electric bikes for us.
