Kilden is a brand new, bespoke, hand built shepherd’s hut. Sleeping 2, it enjoys uninterrupted countryside views from a peaceful location on the outskirts of Perranwell Station. Enjoy the sunset from the wood fired hot tub, or hunker down inside with the wood burning stove crackling - it’s the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing Cornish break. For those looking to explore, step straight out onto a network of footpaths which criss cross neighbouring farmland. Accommodation: Kitchen/living space with small fridge (plus icebox), Belfast sink, electric hob, kettle, toaster, air fryer and wood burning stove. Double bed (4’6 x 6’3) with step up. Bathroom with electric shower, toilet, sink, vanity unit and electric heated towel rail. Exterior: Kilden has its own driveway and parking (up to 2 cars), which are immediately adjacent. Surrounding the hut is a gravelled, landscaped area which enjoys lots of sun. Beyond this is a grassed section of garden - surrounded by fencing. To the side of the shepherd’s hut is the outdoor shower (cold water only) and wood fired hot tub. The perfect spot to watch the horses quietly graze and the sun go down. Access: The shepherd’s hut is accessed via a set of oak steps. Inside there is a step up to the bed. Facilities: Electric underfloor heating throughout the living/kitchen area and bathroom, plus wood burner and heated towel rail. Smart TV with access to BBC iPlayer, ITVX, Channel 4, etc. Netflix, Amazon Prime and Apple TV can be accessed via guests’ own logins. WiFi. Other information: Electricity, linen, towels, one log store of logs (beneath wood burning stove) and one basket for the wood fired hot tub are provided. 1 well behaved dog is welcome per stay - which must not be left unattended and must be clean and dry before entering the shepherd’s hut. It must be under control at all times. Smoking or vaping are not permitted. Please be aware that often our horses graze the field in front of Kilden.

*Please note* the hot tub takes approximately 2hrs during the summer months to reach bathing temperature the first time it’s lit. During the winter months this may increase to 3.5hrs. Everything required to light it is provided. The insulated lid minimises heat loss and it takes much less time to top up the temperature.

Perranwell Station is located roughly halfway between the towns of Truro and Falmouth and only 7 miles away from the nearest beach. We highly recommend a visit to The Royal Oak pub in the village, which serves great food (just be sure to book, as it's very popular)! There is a train station only 0.5 mile away from Kilden and Newquay Airport can be found 21 miles away. There is also a bus service in the village. Kilden is surrounded by public footpaths, byways and bridleways, which are great for exploring! The converted barn in front of Kilden’s driveway, Cart Shed Cottage, is also guest accommodation.
