Kilsby Cottage is adjacent to Kilsby House on the edge of 2.5 acres of garden and private woodland, with abundant wildlife and spectacular views. It is tastefully decorated, comfortably furnished and well-equipped, with spectacular views from all rooms. It includes 1 double bedroom and 1 twin bedroom upstairs, with an extra fold-up bed and travel-cot available on request. Each bedroom is equipped with bedside lockers & lamps, a recessed double wardrobe, dressing table, and hair-dryer. Windows in both bedrooms look out over the spectacular Upper Irfon Valley from Kilsby Cottage's elevated position. There are reduced rates for wild trout fishing on our local upper Irfon beat. The downstairs accommodation consists of a large open plan living/dining room/kitchen, a well-equiped separate bathroom and an entrance hall and lobby for storage of cycles, fishing tackle and outdoor clothing. Barbecue equipment and outdoor furniture is provided for your use in addition to secluded seating around the garden. There is plenty secure off-road parking.

Caroline and Matthew Holley moved to Kilsby from Sheffield in September 2017. Caroline is a watercolour artist and Botanical Illustrator who has taught and exhibited across the country for over 30 years. Matthew has been a university lecturer for most of his life and he is a keen sea kayaker. We look forward to welcoming you to Kilsby Cottage and helping you to make the most of your stay.

There are stunning views from your doorstep and many local walks with no need to get in your car. Kilsby Cottage is an ideal location for walking, cycling and kayaking holidays in Wales, fishing holidays in the Wye Valley, bird-watching and general outdoor pursuits in the Cambrian Mountains. The small town of Llanwrtyd Wells is only a few minutes drive or a 20 minute walk from Kilsby. It is famous for hosting numerous 'green events', including the World Bog Snorkelling Championship, Man Vs. Horse hill marathon and the mid-Wales Beer Festival. It has its own tourist information centre, several shops with late opening hours and three friendly pubs offering good food and a range of real ale. For that special occasion or holiday treat there are two excellent restaurants offering gourmet cuisine. There is also a post office and a garage for fuel and car repairs.
