A place with history: Lake Cottages at Cwm Chwefru were converted in the 1980s, we have been welcoming guests for 40 years! The Heron block once a barn complex and the reception originally old cowsheds. An old Welsh slate with Celtic designs engraved upon it was found in what is now the reception. Our research led us to find that it was an ancient Druid's lucky charm; they were placed in cowsheds to keep cattle safe and healthy. This has now been donated to St. Fagans, the Museum of Wales. Our accommodation includes: Studio cottage for 2 guests (King-size bed + Travel Cot if needed) Cottages for 2–4 guests (double bedroom & sofa bed) Cottages for 2–6 guests (double bedroom, twin room & sofa bed) In total, we can host up to 57 guests, making us ideal for large group accommodation and exclusive-use stays. Guests enjoy shared access to our on-site facilities, including a swimming pool, sauna, and games room. Book all 12 cottages for private use of all facilities. For group dining, hire our dining room/bistro area at an additional cost. Seating 15–25 guests, it includes tables, benches, and a fully equipped kitchen perfect for gatherings, celebrations, and shared meals.
