La Fosse B&B & Restaurant in Dorset La Fosse B&B and The Restaurant at La Fosse situated in Dorset, close to the borders of Wiltshire and Hampshire, is ideal for exploring all three counties. The scenic Dorset coast is only a 20 minute drive and the New Forest National Park is even closer.
Mark and Emmanuelle have gained their passion and experience in various great establishments around the world, including The Chewton Glen Hotel (where they met), Pebble Beach Restaurant, Le Manoir aux Quatre Saison and Blantyre Hotel (USA). They are “assisted” by their young daughter Amelie.
There are various walks either from Cranborne or nearby, if you fancy getting in the car and going on a little adventure below are a few places which you could visit. Golf is to be enjoyed at the superb Remedy Oak Golf Club, according to the Top 100 Golf Courses of the World, Remedy Oak is one of the most exclusive golf course south of the M25 There is the stunning Jurassic Coast, which includes many places of interest and beauty such as Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove, Golden Cap, Chesil Beach, Studland and Lyme Regis, What many people enjoy most in Dorset are the drives along narrow hedge-lined lanes or walks through gorgeous countryside and villages, mostly off the beaten track, with time for a stop for lunch in a rural pub or a Dorset cream tea in traditional tea-rooms. Cranborne Chase is a diverse landscape offering areas of rolling chalk grassland, ancient woodlands, chalk escarpments, down land hillsides and chalk river valleys each with a distinct and recognizable character. At La Fosse we have several maps, walking trails, books and suggestions for some great walks, long or short, either from our doorstep or a bit further a field.
