We have two hand built Log Cabins situated in a private orchard with stunning views of the Lakeland fells and farmland. New for 2025 we have Kingfisher cabin (sleeps 4) set in its own grounds overlooking the ornamental lake. Thornthwaite is ideally situated for those wishing to go walking, cycling or just relaxing, with many walks and cycle routes from your Log Cabin door, including the Lakes & Dales Loop and the Bay Cycle Way. The farm has a unique diversity of Lakeland landscape, including lowland flower meadows, ancient woodlands, rocky outcrops, streams and rivers and a Site of Special Scientific Interest, all of which our guests can explore. There is a diverse range of wildlife and fauna including rare orchids and mosses. Thornthwaite Farm is located within easy reach of all the main Lake District attractions, however if you need to get away from it all and relax in a friendly atmosphere, our farm and Log Cabins in the Lake District are perfect.
