Tucked away in the West Sussex countryside close to the historic town of Arundel, Lavender lodge is a small but perfectly formed getaway for two. Sitting adjacent to the owner’s 400 year old country cottage in the picturesque hamlet of Wepham, the Lodge enjoys an beautiful position on the edge of the South Downs. Within a 5 minute country walk is the equally pretty village of Burpham with its beautiful 11th century Village Church and The George at Burpham, serving excellent food and local ales. Lavender lodge makes an ideal base for exploring the South Downs as well as the historic town of Arundel, being just a few minutes’ drive away. Being just over an hour away from London, the lodge is ideally situated for relaxing in complete peace and quiet.
Glen and Sandra have a wide experience of hosting, having run a B&B in Surrey before relocating to West Sussex a few years ago. Lavender Lodge was built shortly after they purchased their cottage in Wepham and the garden which they are proud to share with their guests, is their pride and joy.
Within the Lodge you will find extensive information about the local area. The South Downs is renowned for its walking trails, mountain biking, fishing, wine tours and just relaxing. The historic city of Arundel (nearest railway station) is only a mile from the Lodge. Arundel Castle and gardens is not to be missed. The coast and beautiful beaches are within a twenty minute drive. Brighton and Chichester are a 30 minute drive away.
