A friendly, family-run guest house located a short walk from Southport's famous Lord Street and Theater. Free WiFi is provided and limited free parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. All the bedrooms have a bathroom with a hairdryer. Other facilities include TVs and tea/coffee making facilities. A full English breakfast is served every morning and evening meals prepared using fresh ingredients are also available.

Company info

We(Gary and Shirley) took over Le Maitre in January 2016 after working in the hotel and catering industry for many years. Gary is originally from Derbyshire and is a big fan of Derby County Football Club and Shirley is a Yorkshire lass so prefers Rugby league. Gary is 'Dragon Mad' which Shirley has learnt to 'love' as our basement flat at the property is full of the ornamental rascals. We both enjoy walking along the pier and sauntering around Lord Street.

Property info

Le Maitre is a Victorian property nestled amongst similar properties along Bath street. The central location just 10 minutes walk from the train station and round the corner from Lord Street and it's many shops, restaurants, bars and The Atkinson. The promenade, marine lake, Southport Pier, Theatre and conference centre are also just minutes away. It retains many of it's original features with a lovely beamed dining area where you can enjoy a freshly cooked English breakfast. Additional to the cooked breakfast there is toast, orange juice, cereal, fruit, yoghurt and tea or coffee. All the rooms have their own showers and toilets. Free toiletries are supplied in dispensers to be more environmentally friendly and recycling bins are allocated in the hallway. There is a paved area to the front where you can sit and watch the world go by or if the weather is too cold there is a lounge where you can chat to friends and family. Free wi-fi is available throughout the property.

Neighborhood info

Bath Street is located in between the promenade and Lord Street so is central to all Southport's attractions. The area has lots of shops and restaurants within a few minutes walk. Southport theatre and conference centre is nearby and the Pier and marine lake and gardens. The train station is only a 5 minute walk. The town also has Splashworld, pleasureland and the beach to keep the children entertained.
