All rooms are en-suite, the double and single rooms have magnificent sea views. The twin rooms unfortunately are not a sea view. The hotel is spread over 3 floors. It has no lift. The Leeway Guest House offers an ideal base to enjoy Scarborough and all its facilities, or to explore North Yorkshire. Located overlooking the North Bay, we are within walking distance of the Sea Life Centre, Miniature Railway, the working Harbour, Scarborough Castle, Peasholm Park, Scarborough Cricket Ground, the Indoor Bowls Centre and the Open Air Theatre. The Town Centre is only a 10 minute walk away. The South Bay, 15 minutes walk away, offers arcades, amusements and a busy fun fair. From the Harbour, you can book trips around the bay, the North Yorkshire coast, or half/full day fishing trips. The six sea view rooms allow guests to enjoy panoramic views of the cliffs and historic castle that frame the picturesque north bay. The town of Whitby is only a 30-minute drive away, with the famous Heartbeat Country and Castle Howard both reachable by car in 45 minutes. The historic City of York is an hours drive away. Just below The Leeway are the beautiful and safe beaches that are such a special feature of the area. Many people, beginners and experts, enjoy surfing the waves that Scarborough enjoys.
