Bristol Lido is a restored Victorian swimming pool; the original swimming baths opened its doors for the first time in 1850.
After changing hands many times over the years, the pool was finally closed in 1990 and redevelopment as flats was threatened for several years.
Instead, in 2006, the site was bought by Arne Ringner as the Glass Boat Company and underwent a huge restoration project, re-opening its doors to the public in December 2008.
In 2023 the Lido Townhouse was added to the Lido, giving our guests the opportunity to turn a few hours of Lido luxury into a days of Lido living.

The Lido Townhouse is a six-bedroom Georgian townhouse situated a stone’s throw from the Lido Spa and Restaurant which has been carefully renovated to provide comfortable accommodation for our guests. Our six guestrooms are decorated to offer you a calming and relaxing stay.
With beds handmade in the UK, fine linens, and soft furnishings, we guarantee you a wonderful night’s sleep. Our rooms have free, fast wi-fi, Nespresso Coffee Machines, a selection of Pukka Teas, Organic Products as well as Towels, Robes and Slippers.
Guests can also enjoy 10% off in our restaurant and bar as well as 10% off treatments in our spa.
