My name is Sofia and my husband is Iain.We are a Portuguese/Scottish couple who love to travel and meet new people. We would like to welcome you to our beautiful village and share our house with you. We have 4 grown up children no longer living at home (1 Doctor, 2 Engineers and one Sports Management student).

Property info

Situated in the picturesque village of Fort Augustus where Thomas Telford's Caledonian Canal enters Loch Ness through a series of 5 locks. Fort Augustus is in the centre of the Highlands with Inverness to the North, Fort William to the South, the Isle of Skye and the beautiful West coast to the West, Aviemore and Cairngorm to the East. An ideal base for exploring the Highlands.. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers. There is an exclusevely guests living room with Sky TV and a terrace that goes into a very big and spacious garden that our guests can enjoy.

Neighborhood info

Across the road we have a golf course and there is a tennis court in the village. Within 7 miles there is a water park with several sports as well as an indoor swimming pool. All the beautiful cruises on Loch Ness depart from the village, a 15 minute walk, where you can also find various restaurants and pubs, several shops, a mini market, a petrol station, a pharmacy, take away food, post office, a tourist office, bikes to rent and lots of beautiful views. Suardal is an ideal central location for hillwalking with more than 300 hills and mountains a short drive away. The Nevis Range ski resort is 30 minutes away and outwith the season provides downhill mountain biking.
