This charming cottage is in the quiet grounds of Longbridge House, a grade 2 historic building where the Duke of Monmouth stayed before & after the Battle of Sedgemoor in 1685. Its' beautiful country inspired interior design and decorations compliment the high vaulted ceiling, beams, thick stone walls and original character features. Steps lead to an elevated sunny south-facing decked area with views over surrounding old buildings & gardens. Included: Electric central heating incl fireplace with cast iron stove/fire (electric), bed linen & towels, large Freeview Smart TV, electric cooker & hob, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, Wi-Fi, sun deck & patio furniture, parking for 1 car. NB: There is a pond in courtyard and steps to sun terrace. Places nearby: Pilton, where the Glastonbury Festival is held, is 3 miles away, City of Wells 5 miles away, Glastonbury, 8 miles away, Bath 40 mins away, & the Royal Bath & Wells Showground is a short 5 min drive. The cottage is also right on the doorstep of the beautiful Mendips. For ‘shopaholics’, Kilver Court Designer Emporium is 1 mile away plus shopping outlet Clarks Village is a 15 min drive away.

Tanya and Robert bought Longridge House and Cottage in 2012 and very quickly opened the cottage to welcome self catering holiday makers. We very much love sharing our cottage and gardens with our guests and giving everyone a home from home experience x
