The small cathedral town of Dunblane rests in Stirlingshire. The Allan Water river runs through the centre and its main attraction is its cathedral, parts of which date back to the 11th century. Nearby, the Victorian spa town of Bridge of Allan rests at the foot of the Ochil Hills, offering picturesque walking trails through scenic rolling countryside, and has a history dating back to the Iron Age.
