At the apartment itself, there is a private patio area with table and chairs. You also have access to the beautiful gardens which run down onto the banks of the river. The apartment comes with a fishing licence which enables guests to spend time fishing for salmon if they so wish. The river is also safe to swim in making it a great place to spend some time. 5 minutes in the car to the south is Criccieth. A great seaside town where there are plenty of places to eat and drink along with the famous castle, and the stunning beaches which are great for swimming off. A little further along the coast will bring you to Pwllheli which is a larger town and where you can spend days sailing from the marina - there is a market on Thursdays and again, plenty of places to eat and drink. The Llyn Peninsula has lots on offer with lots of stunning beaches and hidden coves to discover and beautiful small towns and villages, including Abersoch and Nefyn. Portmierion Village is 20 minutes away in Porthmadog along with the Welsh Highlands steam train which will take you through the mountains to Caernarfon. Further inland are the Snowdonia mountains and lakes where you can take part in outdoor and water sport activities - there are lots of activity providers that can make a day in the mountains truly memorable. Zip world and Slate mountain are based in Blaenau Ffestiniog and a great place to spend the day. Towns like Betws Y Coed, Beddgelert and Llanberis are all must have places to visit and are within an hour’s drive from the cottage.
