We have lived in Bath for over 20 years and still count ourselves as fortunate to be living in such a beautiful place. A city that feels more like a small country town, Bath is a national and international favourite among travellers due to its incredible heritage, fine architecture and high quality dining. We are truly blessed to be in such a magnificent part of the world. We love to welcome others to our town and share with them the beautiful surroundings.

Property info

The Mill House is a 16th century water mill located on the edge of the Wellow Brook in the village of Midford on the South-Eastern edge of the World Heritage City of Bath in Somerset. It is a stunning property and retains many of the original features. The property benefits from very large gardens, waterside frontage with fishing rights, and even boasts its own 'island'. A real adventure playground for kids, it also sits among some of the finest countryside walks and bridal ways in the area, many leading to fabulous country pubs.

We love to take the two tunnels cycle path into Bath, avoiding the huge hill climbs with its cleverly designed winding route. Or going in the opposite direction to Wellow and the Fox & Badger pub. Alternatively, for something really special we love to walk across the fields to Combe Hay where Bartie runs the amazing Wheatsheaf pub, offering really fine dining; one of our finest flamboyant local country gents. If we are feeling lazy we just stroll around the corner to the Hope & Anchor which offers great local fayre, Especially good are their themed Steak Nights. And don't forget the Packhorse in Southstoke village just up the hill. Recently re-opened after a closure of 5 years, this community-funded pub is now reclaiming its reputation as a classic country pub.
