Midsummer Barn is a cosy, comfortable barn conversion, which overlooks it's own enclosed garden, and our farmland. Fantastic views towards the Fylde Coast. Quiet but within easy reach of the towns of Blackburn and Darwen. Lots of toys and games for children provided, as well as high chair, stair gates, and cots. Electric vehicle charge point is provided for guests to use during their stay.
As well as running the holiday cottage, we also run a small-holding, where we breed pedigree Kerry Hill sheep, which we exhibit at local shows throughout the summer. If you come in the spring, you may be lucky enough to see our lambs running and jumping around.
Midsummer Barn is situated on the edge of the West Pennine Moors, near the village of Belthorn. There is fantastic walking direct from the cottage. Belthorn used to be a weaving and mining village, and now boasts Lancashire's first Community-owned pub, The Dog Inn at Belthorn, which has an excellent restaurant.
